Making Jesus Real
Fridays | 7:00PM-10PM | Gr. 8-12 | Parkway
WHY WE DO THIS
Being a teenager in today's culture is tough. They are facing issues like depression, anxiety, self harm, suicide, divorced parents, etc. On top of all this the world looks down on teens. Thinking that they're lazy, disrespectful and selfish. At Parkway we believe that this generation is not bound to the opinion of the world, but the the destiny that Jesus Christ has made them for. We believe that Jesus heals and restores the brokenness that plagues this generation when he is made real in our lives. Our goal is make Jesus real to teenagers, and that they will see have an authentic encounter and relationship with Jesus Christ.
What we do
A typical Friday night consist of a number of things. Games, hanging out, but most importantly worship, studying the Word, and small groups. We meet from 7:15-7:30 in the main sanctuary for PSP (Pre-Service Prayer), with leaders and students in preparation for the service. We encounter God through worship and prayer times, and hear the word of God each week. We dedicate every Friday night to Jesus, because He is the reason we gather. Real Youth is a time where students will encounter Jesus in a real way along with other students in similar stages of life.
